Rugeley is a historic market town in the county of Staffordshire. Other names for the town throughout history have been Rudgeley and Ridgeley, the name is thought to be derived from hill over the field. In the medieval times, it was a centre for Iron Works and Glass Making. Nowadays, although the Lea Hall Colliery has closed, the Power Station is still running.
