Ealing

There is evidence of settlement as far back as the Iron age. The 12th century St Mary's Church is Grade II* listed, and St John's Church is Grade II listed. In the 18th and 19th centuries, well-to-do people in London bought properties in Ealing to be in the green open spaces, which were mostly devoted to agriculture at the time.
