Since then, Liam has spent a number of years in the West End and the City of London working for national surveying companies gaining invaluable experience, dealing with matters as diverse as Retail Warehouse developments and Investments in Northumberland to High Street retail units in South Wales and B1 Industrial units in Essex. Liam continues to work locally in Newdigate, Dorking and the surrounding Surrey area. Splitting his time between Newdigate and Devon where he enjoys to sail.

He specialises in Buildings reinstatement and Rebuild survey reports for a variety of Commercial, Leisure and Hotel properties including offices, retail space as well as residential. He carries out other surveys to assist purchasers, lessees, Group Directors and Managers to help with their business planning. and is often instructed to carry out buildings reinstatement valuations for insurance purposes to satisfy their due diligence requirements. These are not only for individual units but also for block management purposes and larger scale estates.

Under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, every ‘adjoining owner’ is subject to the provisions of the Act when one person carries out work on their home. In a typical domestic property scenario this is usually limited to one or two parties. Larger commercial developments can encompass many freehold properties and tenanted properties. The notices and recording of condition should always follow the protocol of the Party Wall Acts.
