Liskeard

Liskeard is over 1000 years old and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. In fact, King Charles I used Stuart House in the town centre as a lodgings in 1644. Visitors can look around this room today. The town is also famous for its Pipe Well, a fresh water well said to "mend weak eyes" and that, reportedly, has never stopped flowing!
