Launceston

In the 11th century, Launceston Castle was built on a natural mound - it has been added to in subsequent centuries. In 1973, the Prince of Wales' Investiture took place in the Castle. Prior to 1835, Launceston was the capital of Cornwall - it then became Bodmin and is now Truro.
