Treherbert

The town of Treherbert is a former coal mining village prospering between 1850 and 1920. The need to build houses in the village was not met until the installation of the railway and led to the rapid expansion of Treherbert, with the first properties constructed at Bute Street, Baglan Street and Dumfries Street.
