Our Privacy Policy

To be completely transparent about what personal details we hold about our e-newsletter subscribers, this Privacy Policy document has been prepared to let our e-newsletter subscribers know that we comply with data protection legislation.

We take the protection of your privacy seriously and take all reasonable steps within our power to make sure your information is safe.

Please read this policy carefully, to understand how we use and store your personal information.

By providing us with your personal information, you consent to the use of any information you provide in accordance with this privacy policy.

Who we are

Chartered Surveyors on the Property Surveying network provide house building surveys and other surveying services. These include full building surveys, homebuyers reports, house purchase surveys, major defects reports, matrimonial valuations and building reinstatement valuations (for your home insurance cover).

We produce a monthly e-newsletter in which we cover topics related to property. Our e-newsletter is emailed to tens of thousands of subscribers around the country every month. Anyone can subscribe, not just estate agents, solicitors and other property professionals. We welcome feedback on the content of our newsletter and suggestions for new articles – please let us know how we are doing so we can improve upon it.

Subscription to our e-newsletter is a two-part process that requires subscribers to respond to an email asking for confirmation. There is an unsubscribe message on every e-newsletter, so you can unsubscribe at any time if the content is no longer of interest to you.

All the Surveyors connected to Property Surveyors carry out residential house property surveys and building survey work for purchasers and some carry out commercial property surveys and other associated work. We have verified that all the Surveyors on this network are Independent Chartered Surveyors who are full members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors at the time of joining the network.

What information we hold about you

We hold only the email and IP addresses you provided when you subscribed to this e-newsletter. We will never ask you for more information than your email address and do not hold any other information about you.

We do not keep records of individual visits to our web pages but we do log the number of visits our pages receive from each e-newsletter mail-out to see which articles have been of interest to our readers.

We will never sell or share your personal information with others for any reason and will not give this information to third party suppliers to enable them to contact you without first notifying you.

What we communicate with you about

At Property Surveying we try to keep you informed each month about interesting and informative news within the sphere of residential and commercial property and surveying. We do this by maintaining a newsletter website and by sending a monthly e-newsletter to our subscribers. The newsletter includes a factfile that draws information and statistics from a variety of sources, including the UK government and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and other property professionals.

We hope you will find our monthly articles of interest and perhaps even be tempted to browse our newsletter archive for other articles.
