The small village of Bute Town lies within the County Borough of Caerphilly in Wales.
Bute Town was built in the 1830s as a ‘model village’ to house local workers. A total of 48 houses were built in three rows which housed up to 430 people. The buildings of Bute Town have been beautifully preserved, and the village is now a conservation area in which all of the buildings have been listed as having architectural or historic interest. Some buildings, such as the School House, have been converted into homes.
