None were so affected as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.birminghamsurveyors.com\">Birmingham<\/a> Shopping centre which lost part of its felt roof in the storms.<\/p>\n<p>Phone lines were cut and lanes flooded, tragically costing the lives of one man and his dog. A tree was felled in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.solihullsurveyors.co.uk\">Solihull<\/a>, blocking motorists for hours.<\/p>\n<p>A clean up operation has begun.
