The company Woods4sale Ltd has reported a 20 percent increase in sales since before the credit crunch, indicating that interest has never been higher. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prices are in the tens of thousands, with adverts like these:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00e2\u20ac\u01537.25 acres of attractive broadleaved woodland with eye-catching views over an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty: \u00c2\u00a369,000.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00e2\u20ac\u01536.5 acres of rare conservation woodland near to Stirling, with scope for a sustainable firewood supply: \u00c2\u00a349,000.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So why would people put their hard earned money into such a luxury? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One purchaser explained:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcWe bought it for our own enjoyment, and for conservation and diversity, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re planting new trees. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s our little getaway; we can go there after a stressful day and relax. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve put up owl boxes and have nesting owls, deer walking about, just an incredible amount of wildlife.
