(owned by DigitalBridge and IFM Investors)<\/p>\n<p>The Citadel is the largest data centre campus in the western world and one of the most technologically advanced. \u00a0It operates entirely on renewable energy and serves cloud, enterprise, and colocation customers across finance, technology, and government sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Its security is the highest industry standard (Tier IV Gold) and it is enclosed by a 20-foot reinforced concrete perimeter wall.<\/p>\n<p>Its 650 MW power capacity is sufficient to power a medium-sized city. The campus is connected to Switch&#8217;s other Nevada facility in Las Vegas via 500 miles of fibre-optic cable, allowing data to travel between the two sites in 7 milliseconds.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3 China Mobile Hohhot Data Centre \u2014 Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reported area:<\/strong> 7,750,015 sq ft | 720,000 sq metres | 178 acres | 72 hectares<br \/>\n<strong>Power capacity:<\/strong> not publicly disclosed<br \/>\n<strong>Owner:<\/strong> China Mobile (state-owned)<\/p>\n<p>Like Number 1, China Mobile&#8217;s Hohhot campus is located in Inner Mongolia&#8217;s Information Park.\u00a0 It was announced in 2014 and the plans included 18 data centre buildings and capacity for 1.2 million servers.
