HMRC has issued fined which total in excess of \u00a31.6 million to estate agents who have failed to register or re-register with them for Anti-Money Laundering (AML).<\/p>\n

New PDR regulations on conversion of farm buildings in England<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Existing Permitted Development Rights (PDR) for agricultural buildings have been extended from 21st May 2024 to allow farm buildings to be converted into homes, shops, cafes and more \u2013 without the requirement for planning permission.<\/p>\n

The next great scandal for the housing market is fleeceholds, warns Lord Moylan.<\/p>\n

China plan to solve housing crisis<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Chinese housing market went into crisis in 2020 following the government\u2019s introduction of a strict debt policy. The sudden decision to stop the flow of \u201ceasy credit\u201d, that had fueled the thriving housing market, triggered a wave of developer bankruptcies and shook the confidence of home buyers.<\/p>\n

Housing group sorry for overcharging \u00a33,500<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The country\u2019s second largest housing association has apologised to an unnamed woman after it was found to have overcharged her for the maintenance costs of \u201ca tiny verge of grass and a few bushes\u201d.<\/p>\n

Leeds plan to make back-to-back homes more energy efficient<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

A number of the houses in Leeds could be described as way beyond their \u2018sell by date\u2019. As such, they fall well below the acceptable standards that are required to achieve an adequate Energy Performance Certificate rating.<\/p>\n

Listed property to be replaced by two new houses<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

A modernist home at 71 Whitney Drive in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, attracted the attention of English Heritage due to its \u201cclassic modernist vision of large windows and floating cantilevered components\u201d. As a result, the property was Grade II listed, despite only being designed in 1966.<\/p>\n

Families were expecting to move into newly built social housing\u00a0 months ago, but have been left waiting with no certain date on which to move into the boarded up properties.<\/p>\n
