Surge in new build property complaints<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

A market survey by the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA) reports an increasing number of complaints from home owners over the snagging issues in their new build properties. Particular new build property complaints noted were service charges, properties handed over in an unsafe condition and housing estate infrastructure left unfinished after the buildings were completed.<\/p>\n

\n

Woke decision allows traveller site after self build rejected<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Shropshire Council has been forced to refute allegations that a planning report showed \u201cdue regard\u201d for the \u201cequality of opportunity\u201d, as it agrees to the change of use of land to a gypsy\/traveller site after refusing planning application for a bungalow on the site made by the same family.<\/p>\n

Property with extension condemned by planners can be holiday let<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The new owner of a property in Cinderford, Gloucestershire, has been granted permission for the house to become a holiday let \u2013 despite ten years of legal wrangling over the building\u2019s extension that resulted in a prison sentence for its original owner.<\/p>\n

A couple who own a number of rented properties have started to sell them, albeit in an unconventional way and not without danger.<\/p>\n

Watch out landlords – Robin Hood is going global<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Be warned, landlords around the world: Robin Hood is expanding and the UK, US and Switzerland are now within his sights. An Australian lawyer who began making online videos to mock estate agents as a joke has been dubbed the \u201cRobin Hood\u201d of TikTok.<\/p>\n

Time to ban “WFH” (working from home)<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The evidence is incontrovertible. Declining output, health and safety issues, data security problems \u2013 what more evidence do we need before we accept that working from home simply doesn\u2019t \u2026 work, that is.<\/p>\n

Home with a view you may be too self-conscious to enjoy?<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The affluent property buyers of new homes proposed in converted derelict naval gunnery buildings may get rather more of a view than they expect. Eastney Beach has for over seventy years been the site of a nudist beach, one of only a handful still remaining on the South Coast of England.<\/p>\n
