(All figures below are the most recently available data.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/uk-house-price-index-summary-june-2019\/uk-house-price-index-summary-june-2019\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>UK House Price Index<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/a><em>Data source: Land Registry <\/em><\/p>\n<p>UK average house price = \u00c2\u00a3230,292,\u00c2\u00a0 0.7% change in the month, 0.9% up in the year. Monthly index (where January 2015 = 100) <span style=\"color: #000000;\">is 120.8<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The weak housing market is showing some signs of stabilising. Households expected a decline in house prices over the next 12 months and 20% had delayed moving due to Brexit uncertainty. The number of mortgage approvals increased in June and remain roughly as previous years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.halifax.co.uk\/media-centre\/house-price-index\/\"><strong>Halifax<\/strong><\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>UK average house price = \u00c2\u00a3236,120, down -0.2% in the month, up 0.4% in the quarter, 4.1% in the year.<\/p>\n<p>Average house prices fell for the second month, although the overall trend is comparatively stable, with average prices down less than \u00c2\u00a3600 over three months. Fewer properties have been sold during the summer months although new buyer enquiries increased and continue to support house prices.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rightmove.co.uk\/news\/house-price-index\/\">Rightmove<\/a><br \/>\nEngland and Wales average house asking price = \u00c2\u00a3305,500, down -1.0% in the month up 1.2% in the year.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a seasonal monthly fall in house prices, performance was better than usual in August. Improved affordability had encourage home buyers who were looking to buy property prior to the Brexit deadline.<\/p>\n<p>All regions saw a year-on-year increase with rises over 10% in the North East, East of England and Yorkshire &amp; Humber.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationwide.co.uk\/about\/house-price-index\/headlines\"><strong>Nationwide<\/strong><\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>UK average house price = \u00c2\u00a3217,663, 0.3% change in the month and up 0.3% in the year.<\/p>\n<p>House prices growth has stayed below 1% for eight successive months. New buyer enquiries had increased, according to surveyors, although confidence was subdued.<\/p>\n<p>Recent years have seen around 5% of homes changing hands in the UK which is higher than the turnover rate in 2009 but well below the 8% recorded pre-financial crisis.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acadata.co.uk\/services\/house-price-index\/\"><strong>LSL \/ Acadata<\/strong><\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Average England and Wales house price = \u00c2\u00a3300,886,\u00c2\u00a0 up 0.2% in the month, up 0.7% in the year.<\/p>\n<p>London and the South East no longer appears to be acting as a drag on national figures as has been the case over the two years to June 2019.<\/p>\n<p>A noticeable north-south divide shows more northern regions with higher rates of transaction growth than the last two years, in particular the North East, North West and Yorkshire &amp; Humber.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/statistics\/monthly-property-transactions-completed-in-the-uk-with-value-40000-or-above\"><strong>HM Revenue &amp; Customs<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe provisional number of UK residential property transaction completions (over \u00c2\u00a340,000) for June 2019 was 84,490, representing a decrease of -9.6% between May-June 2019, and the seasonally adjusted figure is -16.5% lower than June 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The number of non-residential property transactions decreased by -7.2% between May-June 2019. This is -12.4% lower than June 2018.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/june-2019-price-paid-data\"><strong>Land Registry Price Paid Data<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nOverall 81,742 residential sales were received for registration in June. The most expensive residential property sale was in the Borough of Kensington &amp; Chelsea, London, which sold for \u00c2\u00a325,975,000. There were 424 residential property sales valued at \u00c2\u00a31m or more in England and Wales, 236 of which were in Greater London.<\/p>\n<p>The cheapest residential sales were properties in Burnley, Bishop Auckland, Ferryhill and Sunderland, which sold for \u00c2\u00a320,000.<\/p>\n<p>The sale of newly built sales represented an increase of 25.4% on June 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REGIONAL HOUSE PRICES<\/strong><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.8271%; Near term rental growth expectation was at its most optimistic for twelve quarters.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Rightmove.co.uk is the UK\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leading property website, displaying details of homes for sale or rent to the largest online audience. It is consistently ranked the number one property website in the UK (source: Experian Hitwise). It has around 90% of all properties for sale and at any time displays a stock of over one million properties to buy or rent, worth around \u00c2\u00a3270 billion.
