Oasis band member, Noel Gallagher, originally put his six bedroomed London mansion on sale in 2016 for\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a311 million but it has failed to sell.<\/p>\r\n

The substantial stucco-fronted period property overlooking Regent\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Canal has three reception rooms and four bathrooms. The luxury home is in the plush neighbourhood of Little Venice, just yards away from the quaint boutique shops and cafes of Clifton Road.<\/p>\r\n

The main area of the house features a spacious double reception room with high ceilings, large windows and Juliet balconies to the front and rear. This leads through to the dining area and kitchen, which features stone work surfaces, top of the range glossy white units and a large stainless steel table with cream coloured bar stools.<\/p>\r\n

There are separate sitting rooms which feature modern art, a theme that runs throughout the house. The master suite is on the first floor of the property which leads up to another three bedrooms on the second floor, as stated on the property website Zoopla, which is advertising the property for sale.<\/p>\r\n

The garden has a substantial lawn with a stone flagged pathway lined with silver birch trees leading to a one bedroomed annexe, bathroom and a large gymnasium.<\/p>\r\n

When Gallagher first listed the property he appealed for help to sell the luxury mansion, saying: “If there are any wealthy Russians reading this story, give me a call please, because I have a house I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m trying to sell. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve got one on the market and it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s proving very difficult to shift … if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re a Russian oligarch. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m upgrading.”<\/p>\r\n

He then went on to say that he likes to have a spare property in case he needs to get away from his wife Sara MacDonald after an argument! “I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m living in one house and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve got a spare one, which does come in handy if I have a row with the missus,” he said.<\/p>\r\n

Gallagher has now dropped the asking price by \u00c2\u00a32.5 million making it a \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbargain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 at \u00c2\u00a38,950,000.<\/p>\r\n

Surveys show that property prices in the more expensive areas of London are still falling, despite an increase in the number of new buyers. Prices have reduced by 4% in central London year upon year and there has been a 4.8% fall in the suburbs.<\/p>\r\n

This is in contrast to the North of England where prices are going up. Property experts forecast a rise of between 2% and 4% in these areas.<\/p>\r\n

Noel Gallagher is not the only celebrity to face difficulty in selling their home. Former Manchester United footballer, Rio Ferdinand, has recently sold the family home that he shared with his late wife after reducing the asking price by \u00c2\u00a32.5 million.<\/p>\r\n

In June 2018, queen of baking, Mary Berry, dropped the asking price of her six bedroom mansion by \u00c2\u00a3150,000 when it failed to sell for eight months. Mary has resided in the 18th-century Queen Anne-style farmhouse for 29 years and it was on the market for \u00c2\u00a33,850,000.<\/p>\r\n

Dannii Minogue, famous little sister of Kylie, reduced the asking price of her Battersea apartment by \u00c2\u00a390,000 in August after living there for 13 years.<\/p>\r\n
