The exact locations of the first four zones have now been named, along with the general areas where seven further zones will be located. Ten further Enterprise Zones remain to be selected.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enterprise Zones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Enterprise Zones will have potential to create new businesses and jobs with wider economic benefits. Each zone will benefit from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>tax breaks for businesses \u00e2\u20ac\u201c including a business rate discount worth up to \u00c2\u00a3275,000 per eligible business over a five year period<\/li>\n<li>simplified planning rules<\/li>\n<li>the roll out of super-fast broadband<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Areas to Benefit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The focus of the first wave of enterprise zones is on cities and areas with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153untapped potential\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. \u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0The four confirmed enterprise zone sites are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nottingham \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the Boots campus<\/li>\n<li>Liverpool \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Liverpool and Wirral Waters<\/li>\n<li>Manchester \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Airport City<\/li>\n<li>London \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Royal Docks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Seven local enterprise partnerships which will have an enterprise zone in their area were also named in the Budget. These partnerships are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Birmingham and Solihull<\/li>\n<li>Sheffield City Region<\/li>\n<li>Leeds City Region<\/li>\n<li>Western England<\/li>\n<li>Black Country<\/li>\n<li>Tees Valley<\/li>\n<li>North Eastern<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ten further zones are\u00c2\u00a0to be selected.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Local enterprise partnerships are being invited to bid to host the ten remaining zones.
