RICS Survey Overview.<\/strong>
\nThe RICS Residential Market Survey for April 2016 (published 12th May 2016) says that “Buyer demand contracts as April Stamp Duty deadline passes\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and that \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the majority of areas seeing a decrease in the number of new properties coming on to agents books\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.
\nThe North West again saw the largest price increases over the month, closely followed by East Anglia, whilst London saw the largest decrease.
\nEast Anglia had the highest positive level of new buyer enquiries in the month, whilst London saw the largest negative level.
\nThe highest level of new vendor instructions was in East Anglia, whereas the lowest were in the North West.
\nThe North West had the highest level of newly agreed sales, whereas London once again saw the lowest.

\nThe Office for National Statistics (ONS) House Price Index (HPI), previously published by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), is a monthly release that publishes figures for mix-adjusted average house prices and house price indices for the UK, its component countries and regions. The index is calculated using mortgage financed transactions that are collected via the Regulated Mortgage Survey by the Council of Mortgage Lenders.<\/span><\/p>\n
