A Somerset farmer has been compensated for damage to his house and buildings by low flying aircraft.<\/p>\n
The property, Springfield House, a grade 2 listed home, was so damaged by vibrations of Hawk Jets performing a display at RNAS Yeovilton, that Mr O’Brien had to live in a caravan while the repairs were being done.<\/p>\n
A previous claim he had made against the MoD regarding damage done by the RAF had not been successful. This time, the judge awarded him \u00c2\u00a3120,000 including legal costs, after the MoD admitted that some damage had been done, although they valued it at only \u00c2\u00a33,000.<\/p>\n
If it can be shown after a survey that a third party has caused damage to property, buildings or your home, a compensation claim can be made – even against the Government.<\/p>\n
