RICS Survey Overview.<\/strong>
\nThe RICS Residential Market Survey for December 2014 (published 8th January 2015) says that “Buyer enquiries decrease for the sixth consecutive month”, and that \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Supply conditions remain tight\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.
\nNorthern Ireland saw the largest price increases over the month, followed by Scotland, whilst London once again saw the only decrease.
\nThe South East and the North West had the highest level of agreed sales, whereas the East Midlands again saw the largest falls.
\nThe North had the highest positive levels of new buyer enquiries in the month whereas London again saw the largest drop.
\nOnly four regions saw a (small) rise in new vendor instructions\u00c2\u00a0 – Yorkshire & Humberside, Wales, the South West and Northern Ireland. The largest drop was in the West Midlands.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) House Price Index (HPI), previously published by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), is a monthly release that publishes figures for mix-adjusted average house prices and house price indices for the UK, its component countries and regions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The index is calculated using mortgage financed transactions that are collected via the Regulated Mortgage Survey by the Council of Mortgage Lenders. <\/span><\/p>\n
