Shaldon

Shaldon is an attractive village on the south bank of the Teign Estuary opposite Teignmouth, to which it is connected by bridge and via the Shaldon Ferry. Shaldon was originally a farming community based around a hamlet known as Ringmore that was further upstream than the centre of the present day village. Shaldon and Ringmore saw much building in the Nineteenth Century with many Georgian buildings and Victorian properties constructed. Some areas are built on reclaimed land, making a survey a prudent investment prior to a property purchase.
