Flooding

Environment flooding check system by postcode and the environment agency. This check will only give you an indication. A local inspection by an Independent Chartered Surveyor with local knowledge and enquiries via your solicitor are advisable. It should be noted that the majority of properties on this postcode check system which are stated as in a high risk flood area are unlikely to flood and a few properties that are not mentioned could flood.

If you are already in or thinking about purchasing a property in an area with a flooding risk it would be wise to read the RICS Consumer Guide to Flooding.
